Blackbeard Pirate Festival
June 12-14, 2026
Downtown Hampton Waterfront comes alive with dozens of pirate reenactors, costumed in historically accurate garb. The festival offers a variety of children’s activities, live musical entertainment, fireworks, period vendors, arts and crafts, food, and much more!

Hampton Jazz & Music Festival
June 26-28, 2026 at the Hampton Coliseum
A soulful weekend of unforgettable entertainment. This highly anticipated event will feature the top jazz, pop, R&B, and blues performers in the nation.

July 4, 2026 at Fort Monroe
The day’s events include family-friendly activities and experiences, historical tours, a naturalization ceremony, and a grand evening program featuring stirring music, powerful oratory, and a spectacular fireworks and drone show.

Hampton Storytelling Festival
July 16-19, 2026 at the Hampton History Museum & more
Come hear great stories, and learn to tell your own, at Everybody’s Got a Story, a free storytelling festival in Hampton July 18-20. Join us for entertainment and for tips on telling your own story! The festival features both nationally recognized storytelling artists and newer local storytellers.
Distilled Ink Festival
TBA at The Vanguard Brewpub & Distillery
A two-day indoor festival celebrating the art of tattooing. Get tattooed by our featured artist Don Peddicord (Ink Masters Season 5) as well as a bunch of local and regional shops. There will be a jam packed day of Live entertainment ranging from sideshows to burlesque. Enjoy craft beer and cocktails as well as handheld food items from The Vanguard.
African Landing Day

Crabtown Seafood Festival
Sept. 5, 2026 at Mill Point Park & Downtown Hampton
Seafood vendors, fishing boats, and educational by exhibits will line the downtown waterfront, honoring Hampton’s history as a town built by seafood.
Supernova Ska Festival

The largest ska event in the United States is taking Fort Monroe by storm! The Supernova Ska Festival began in 2014 and has only grown since – recently bringing in 36 bands from 9 different countries.
