Pride on the Peninsula: Phabulous Phoebus Street Festival

June 7, 2026

Party with pride during our Phabulous Phoebus Street Festival. Celebrate on historic Mellen Street with live music, beer and food vendors, and community enrichment.

Blackbeard Pirate Festival

June 13 & 14, 2026

Downtown Hampton Waterfront comes alive with dozens of pirate reenactors, costumed in historically accurate garb. The festival offers a variety of children’s activities, live musical entertainment, fireworks, period vendors, arts and crafts, food, and much more!

Navigating Freedom: Celebrate Juneteenth Hampton VA250 Sail

June 19, 2026 at Fort Monroe

Join us at Fort Monroe on June 19 for a day-long celebration of history, culture and freedom. View the Sail250® Virginia Parade of Sail, a major maritime event featuring international tall ships and military vessels, at the Fort Monroe seawall as it makes its way to downtown Norfolk. Enjoy a powerful Juneteenth celebration with cultural displays, performers, live music, food and vendors.

Hampton Jazz & Music Festival

June 26-28, 2026 at the Hampton Coliseum

A soulful weekend of unforgettable entertainment. This highly anticipated event will feature the top jazz, pop, R&B, and blues performers in the nation.

Stars Over Hampton: July 4th Celebration

Fireworks

July 4, 2026 in Downtown Hampton

Bring the entire family for a spectacular 4th of July celebration on the Downtown Hampton Waterfront featuring fireworks and a 400-drone show. Settler’s Landing Road will be closed to vehicular traffic and there will be bleachers and vendors. There will be 3 performance stages including the main stage at Carousel Park. The entertainment will be headline by The Downtown Band, a high-energy, dance-driven, cover band from Nashville, Tenn.

Hampton Storytelling Festival

July 16-19, 2026 at the Hampton History Museum & more

Come hear great stories, and learn to tell your own, at Everybody’s Got a Story, a free storytelling festival in Hampton July 18-20. Join us for entertainment and for tips on telling your own story! The festival features both nationally recognized storytelling artists and newer local storytellers.

African Landing Day

Crabtown Seafood Festival

The largest ska event in the United States is taking Fort Monroe by storm! The Supernova Ska Festival began in 2014 and has only grown since – recently bringing in 36 bands from 9 different countries.
