Music By The Bay Summer Concerts at Fort Monroe
Thursdays June 6 – August 22, 2024
Enjoy a variety of performers such as the Chesapeake Bay Wind Ensemble Army Band Jazz Ensemble, The Liberty Dolls and more! They have captivated audiences of all ages on the Virginia Peninsula, allowing younger members to learn from the extensive experience of their older counterparts. The ensemble performs wind band music that spans Jazz, Ragtime, Blues, Popular Idioms (Country, Classic Rock & Roll, etc.), Cultural Styles, Musicals, Folk Songs, Dance Music from earlier eras, and, of course, our Patriotic Heritage.
Bring your own picnic, chairs, and blankets to enjoy summer sunsets by the Chesapeake Bay, accompanied by the sweet sounds of some of the region’s most talented performers.
Downtown Hampton Block Party
Saturdays June 8 – August 31, 2024
Visit Downtown Hampton on summer Saturdays and indulge in delicious meals from amazing food vendors while enjoying regional bands! The lineup includes Infinite Flava, Hannah Anders, Strictly Bizzness, the Fuzz Band and 2ndWyndBand.
Bring blankets and lawn chairs for seating. Concerts take place from 6:00-10:00 pm, with food and alcohol available from 6:00-9:30 pm. Bands perform from 6:30-9:30 pm on the stage at the grassy lot on Kings Way at the intersection with Queens Way. R2Z Entertainment and Photography will be the on-site DJ each week.
Groovin By The Bay
Sundays June 9 – August 25, 2024
This June kicks off the “Groovin by the Bay” summer concert series at Mill Point Park every Sunday night. Enjoy a variety of bands playing oldies, pop, rock, and Motown! This free concert is open to the public. Performers include The Tidewater Drive Band, The Michael Clark Band featuring Tracy Clark, K’Bana Blaq & Friends and Brasswind.
Bring comfy lawn chairs and blankets for a relaxing evening. Support local food vendors and enjoy free parking in the Hampton University garage next to the park. Pets are allowed, but for safety reasons, it is recommended they do not attend.
