Whether you’re escaping summer heat or dodging a downpour, your vacation adventure is just beginning—indoors! From hands-on fun to family favorites, our indoor attractions keep everyone entertained and comfortable all year round.

Virginia Air & Space Science Center

Imagine the thrill of exploring a real lunar module or seeing your reflection in the polished helmet of an astronaut suit.

Step inside the Virginia Air & Space Science Center and discover more than 30 historic aircraft, a hands-on space exploration gallery, and unique space flight artifacts from NASA! Whether you’re “flying” a fighter jet simulator or relaxing in the world-class IMAX theater, this destination promises adventure no matter the weather.

Hampton History Museum

Trace the footsteps of explorers and trailblazers at the Hampton History Museum, where centuries-old artifacts and interactive displays bring Hampton’s compelling stories to life. Touch replicas, peer into reconstructed rooms, and let your imagination wander through four centuries of national history.

Tip: We recommend parking in the free garage next to the museum for as you explore & dine downtown.

Fort Monroe Visitor & Education Center

After you finish one of the free walking tours at Fort Monroe, step inside to the air-conditioned Visitor & Education Center to browse the history exhibits and NPS gift shop.

Tip: This is also where you go to request a free timed ticket for the Casemate Museum.

Hampton University Museum

Step inside the oldest African American museum in the U.S. and explore one of the most impressive multicultural art collections in America! Beyond its African American Fine Art Collection, the Hampton University Museum features African, Native American, and Hampton History Galleries, offering a deeper connection to diverse cultures and stories.

Visit SkyZone Trampoline Park to jump, spin, flip, play and a whole lot more. The kind of play that makes us jump and dodge and flip and sweat and laugh and bob and weave until we need to drink some water and lie down. Play where you can be you, in the moment, free. The kind of play that is good for our bodies and even better for our brains.
