House History

Built-in 1885 Magnolia House Inn has been home to many residents and visitors. Originally owned by harbor pilot, William Scott. It was home to their family for many years and transformed into 5 apartments for Langley Air Force couples in 1997. In 2004 Joyce and Lankford moved in and began their dream of owning a bed & breakfast when they welcomed their first guests in 2006.

Meet the Owners

When staying at Magnolia House Inn, Joyce and Lankford will make you feel right at home. Before they owned a bed and breakfast of their own Joyce says her and Lankford “stayed in a bed and breakfast, and saw the owners having so much fun!” From then, they knew they wanted to open a bed and breakfast one day. They see no strangers in the B&B, and they welcome all their guests with open arms. Guests come back year after year, just to visit with Joyce and Lankford, and eat their homemade breakfast.
