There is convenient transportation between the sites in the Downtown and Coliseum Central
districts. The BID Bus provides free transportation during spring and summer on Fridays and Saturdays from noon to midnight. During these seasons, the 27-passenger bus runs on an approximate 30-minute loop, picking up and delivering passengers at the Crowne Plaza Hampton Marina Hotel and at the intersection of King Street and Settlers Landing Road. The bus stops in Coliseum Central are located on Coliseum Drive at Embassy Suites Hotel at the Hampton Roads Convention Center and in front of Barnes & Noble at Peninsula Town Center.

Interstate Access To the Hampton Visitor Center
Intersected by Interstates 64 and 664, Hampton is located in the geographic center of the Hampton Roads area just a 3-hour drive south of Washington, D.C. and 30 minutes from both Colonial Williamsburg and Virginia Beach (traffic pending). To reach the Hampton Visitor Center from I-64, take Exit 267 to downtown Hampton, following Settlers Landing Road. Turn right on History Museum Way; Visitor Center is located where History Museum Way meets Old Hampton Lane. Heading East on I-64 (from Richmond):
Merge toward Exit 263 (Mercury Boulevard), getting into the far right lane toward Coliseum Drive. Stay in the right turning lane. Turn right onto Coliseum Drive. Continue straight through the intersection at Pine Chapel and Coliseum Drive. Turn left into the parking lot at Hampton Roads Convention Center, located at 1610 Coliseum Drive.
Heading West on I-64 (From Norfolk):
Take Exit 263B (Mercury Boulevard). Stay in the right lane. Turn right onto Coliseum Drive. Continue straight through the intersection at Pine Chapel and Coliseum Drive. Turn left into the parking lot at Hampton Roads Convention Center, located at 1610 Coliseum Drive.
North-bound on I-664 (from Suffolk/Portsmouth):
At the crossroads of Interstates 664 and 64, follow traffic for I-64 west, staying in left and center lanes. Continue on flyover as lanes merge onto I-64. Stay in the farthest right lanes. Take Exit 263 B (Mercury Boulevard). Stay in the right lane. Turn right onto Coliseum Drive. Continue straight through the intersection at Pine Chapel and Coliseum Drive.
