Juneteenth Celebration at Fort Monroe headlined by Musiq Soulchild, Amerie

Join us at Fort Monroe on June 19 for a day-long celebration of history, culture, and freedom. View the Sail250® Virginia Parade of Sail, a major maritime event featuring international tall ships and military vessels, at the Fort Monroe seawall as it makes its way to downtown Norfolk. Enjoy a powerful Juneteenth celebration with cultural displays, live performances, food trucks, local vendors, and family-friendly activities. Musiq Soulchild and Amerie will headline the afternoon entertainment.

Beginning at 9 a.m., attendees can gather along the Fort Monroe seawall to witness international tall ships and military vessels make their way through Hampton Roads to downtown Norfolk. The maritime procession will continue through noon and offer a once-in-a-generation viewing opportunity from one of the region’s most historic locations.
Musiq SoulchildThroughout the day, visitors will enjoy a vibrant Juneteenth celebration curated by AMC 250 in Fort Monroe’s Continental Park featuring cultural displays, exhibits, local vendors, food, and community organizations. Live music and entertainment beginning at 12 noon will highlight the rich traditions, artistry and resilience celebrated during Juneteenth.

The Juneteenth celebration is designed as a full-day, multi-stage cultural experience anchored by nationally recognized headliners and grounded in community participation. Performances include national artists Musiq Soulchild and Amerie as well as regional and local favorites including The Art of Noise with Lonnie B, Mad Skillz, Myra Smith and Phoenix Collective, Peggy Britt, Ashley Felder, Teezy So Dope, and Zyaa.
