Spring is in the air, and Hampton has a full month ahead of exciting events and opportunities for visitors and residents. Hampton’s annual restaurant week kicks off the month, followed by exciting Hampton Arts events, and Langley Speedways Spring Day of Destruction. Hampton Restaurant Week
March 6-20
Hampton Restaurant Week is back for 2 weeks this year, featuring restaurants from Downtown Hampton, Phoebus, and Coliseum Central. Dine your way this year, and visit your favorite restaurant or let your taste buds find an adventure with something new.
Dark Knight of Winter Beer Festival at St. George Brewing Company
March 12, 12-5 pm
St. George Brewing Co. presents the Dark Knight of Winter Invitational, a dark beer festival featuring beers from 20 plus Virginia craft breweries from 12-5pm on Saturday, March 12th. Attendees will get unlimited samples of all of the beers and festival glassware.
Langley Speedway Spring Day of Destruction
March 19, 10 am-1 pm
Kick-off Langley Speedway’s 2022 season with the spring day of destruction. A fun day for everyone in the family. Gates open at 10am for an afternoon of fun.
Phoebus Leprecrawl
March 19, 12 pm – 6 pm
Breakout your festive green outfits and jig down to Phoebus for the 2nd Annual Phoebus Leprechrawl. Enjoy great specials at bars in Phoebus while supporting The Peninsula Food Bank. Kick off your bar crawl from Sly Clyde, and enjoy music from Sly Clyde from 12-6 pm. Bonus fun if you find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
Spring Engagement Bridal Expo
March 27, 2-5 pm
Attending a bridal show is enjoyable, rewarding, and worth putting on your to-do list. Future brides should all add the Spring engagement bridal expo at the Hampton Roads Convention Center on March 27, to their bridal planning list. Spend time with your wedding party exploring all the fun ideas to include in your wedding. You won’t want to miss this opportunity in your first (or next) step in wedding planning.
American Theatre Showings
The lights are up and shining bright at the American Theatre. After being closed for performances for nearly two years, you can now enjoy a show at the American Theatre again. Come out to see Avery Sunshine and the Young Artist Competition Showcase. Make sure to stop by a local restaurant for some drinks and food before or after the show to complete your visit to Phoebus.
Hampton Coliseum Events
Looking for more live entertainment? The Hampton Coliseum is ready to welcome you with a full list of events happening this month. The PBR Velocity Tour, Tame Impala, and Maxwell the Night, will be bringing entertainment to Hampton this March. You won’t want to miss these exciting performances.
Hampton History Museum In-Person Events
The Hampton History Museum returns to in-person programs with its March lecture and concert series. On March 7, 7pm – 8pm, Greg Siegal will present “Fighting for Passengers: Streetcar Rivalries at the Turn of the 20th Century” and provide updates on the restoration of Streetcar 390. Poisoned Dwarf will kick off the music series for 2022 on March 16 from 6pm-8pm.
Admission to these events is free for museum members, and $5.00 for non-members. The events will be recorded for later viewing on Facebook, YouTube, and their website.
Toast the Coast Beer Wine and Shine Trail
Toast the Coast this month to celebrate spring, St. Patrick’s Day, or just for fun! With 7 establishments on the trail in Hampton, you are sure to be having fun all month long. Make sure to download our Toast the Coast Mobile Passport to check-in at each of the participating breweries.
Enjoy the Outdoors
Spend some time walking along the beach, visiting a nature trail, or exploring Fort Monroe National Monument. The first day of spring on March 20, is the perfect time to enjoy Hampton’s natural amenities.
