The City of Hampton & Fort Monroe Virtual Fourth of July Special

This virtual special will be filled with Hampton’s great Fourth of July traditions, including music by the U.S Army TRADOC Band, and greetings and well wishes from familiar citizens, organizations, and businesses from all around Hampton. The special will conclude with an epic fireworks production set to music for you to enjoy. 

Tune into Hampton City Channel, Cox 47 and FIOS 22, at 7 pm on July 4, 2020 to celebrate. The special can also be viewed on the live web feed. 

Fort Monroe ‘Virtual Freedom Run’

Lace up your running or walking shoes, and sign up for the Fort Monroe Freedom 5K or 1.3 Mile Rampart Run.This virtual race will take place between June 19th and July 4, 2020 wherever and whenever you want. Fort Monroe Authority encourages runners to think about the question  “What does Freedom mean to me”? Freedom means many things to many people, and The National Center for Freedom at Fort Monroe is striving to understand these broad meanings.

Completed runs may be logged online with run time, uploaded photo-finish, and any comments runners may want to share with the freedom organization. All racers will receive a virtual custom race bib, a Fort Monroe Freedom Run Medal, a t-shirt, window cling, and a neck gaiter.

4th at the Finch 

Oozlefinch Beers and Blending will be hosting a fun 4th of July celebration from 12PM-10PM on July, 4. The event will include a great lineup of food trucks, live music, and beer. With their large lawn, there is plenty of room to social distance! Bring a blanket, or lawn chairs and enjoy a relaxing day with great beer.
