Port Hampton Culture Series The Art of Historical Interpretation with Nathan Richardson

Step into history with the Port Hampton Culture Series: The Art of Historical Interpretation, an immersive evening that brings the past vividly to life. Internationally acclaimed performer and historian Nathan M. Richardson shares the craft behind his powerful portrayal of Frederick Douglass through a dynamic 1.5-hour experience blending performance, lecture, and interactive discussion.

Participants will engage with both the historical figure of Frederick Douglass and Richardson himself as he reveals his creative process, from research and storytelling to performance and presentation. This unique workshop offers insight into the artistic and business sides of historical interpretation, making it valuable for actors, storytellers, museum professionals, educators, and history enthusiasts alike.
