Join us February 26-March 1, 2026, Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival at the Hampton Roads Convention Center! The Merchants Mall will feature everything for quilt, fiber, wearable & textile artists, and home sewers. In addition, MAQF will present the finest collection of quilt, garment, and fiber art exhibitions, including quilt and wearable art prize money competitions. Rounding out the event will be workshops and lectures presented by leading instructors along with demonstrations throughout the Merchants Mall.

This year’s quilt competition, themed “Connected by Threads for 250 Years.” Entrants looking to win Best Interpretation of Theme will show how they’ve connected to their quilt community through their art. Quilt entries will be featured in three competitions: Full Size – Innovative and Traditional categories, Mid-Century Mod/Modern and Wall Quilts. Also, find unique full ensembles, vest, jacket, and coat entries in the Wearable Art Competition.

The Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival is a mecca for quilters and sewing enthusiasts, featuring over 1000 quilts, wearables, and textile works of art on display. In addition, the Merchants Mall includes retail booths with all the best fabrics, notions, machines, and tools. For the avid learners, workshops and lectures by an internationally renowned faculty offer an awesome opportunity to learn new techniques. The Golden Thimble Needlework Guild’s demos, Quilt-O game night, and a fashion show by local wearable artist Meryl Ann Butler make this event a must see.
