Angolan Exhibit: Ethnic Groups, References, & National Symbols of Angola

September 26 @ 9:30 am - 4:30 pm

The cultures, traditions, and roots of people are expressed in the colors, smells, flavors and sounds of Angola. Angola is a country composed of a mosaic of distinct characteristics that show us that diversity can achieve unity when what unites us is the strength of the dicanza and marimba, the taste of galinha fiote, and mufete. With this exhibition, we aim to showcase the different ethnic groups, their unique traits, and how, today, it is possible to gather and share with all those who wish to experience Angola.
The Exhibit is Presented By the Embassy of Angola to the United States. This FREE exhibit can be experienced at the Visitor and Education Center located at 30 Ingalls Roads at Fort Monroe. Open Wednesdays – Sunday 9:30am – 4:30pm. For more information call 757 – 690 – 8181 or email visit@fortmonroe.org.
