Virginia Hot Rod & Custom Car Show (5-6)Get your car out of hibernation... the biggest indoor car show in VA is back! The VA Car Show, held in Hampton, VA, aims to celebrate classic cars and 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s culture. This show pulls the best lineup of classics, muscle cars, restored cars, classic trucks, pro street cars, custom bikes from the Mid-Atlantic and South East. Saturday from 10:00 am-9:00 pm Sunday from 10:00 am-5:00 pm

12 | Southeastern Guns & Knives Show (12-13)

Southeastern Guns & Knives Show (12-13)Southeastern Guns and Knives is an organized and legal gun show event that promotes understanding of the shooting sports, appreciation of American history, and an opportunity to view historic and contemporary weapons. A variety of people, from professionals to blue-collar workers, attend gun shows. Gun show patrons attend the shows as collectors, hobbyists, sportsmen, and hunters; many also attend because they are interested in home defense. Children 14 and younger are free and children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult 21 years or older $80.00 per 8 foot table Show Hours: Saturday 9-5 Sunday 10-4

19 | Build the City

Build the CityChildren will become architects and engineers as the Hampton History Museum hosts the 4th Annual “Build the City” event on Saturday, January 19 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Hampton Roads Convention Center. This free family friendly event will engage children and adults, inspired by photos of Hampton buildings, to construct a large-scale model of Hampton, using boxes other recyclables, construction paper, chalk, and paint. Volunteers and staff are on-hand to teach the “building blocks” of architecture and those influences that shaped our landscape as well as the science and engineering behind building our City’s structures. In addition fashioning familiar landmarks from cardboard, thousands of LEGOs will be on hand to create buildings and other structures in a dedicated area.
