01 | The Manhattan Transfer Holiday Show

The Manhattan Transfer kicks off a harmonic holiday season as the vocal group brings its signature sound to The American Theatre. Expect an evening of spectacular singing that has earned the group an astounding 10 Grammy Awards for its unique arrangements and performance style. The Manhattan Transfer’s incredible vocal power has entertained worldwide audiences for more than four decades. During this special time of year, the group delivers a remarkable performance of holiday favorites from its hit albums, The Christmas Album, An Acapella Christmas, as well as selections from the recently released, chart-soaring album, The Junction. The Manhattan Transfer Holiday Show is a rare opportunity to see one of the music industry’s most influential jazz vocal groups.

Santa's AtticThe Hampton Parks, Recreation & Leisure Services Department presents the 2018 SANTA’S ATTIC this holiday season on Friday, December 8, 10:00AM-5:00PM. Join us for this popular event  located in the lobby at City Hall. Come take a look at some of Santa's helpers most unique hand-crafted items!! Whether shopping for that perfect holiday gift or picking up a little treasure for personal enjoyment, this arts and crafts show is not to be missed! It will bring plenty of distinctive treasures for fun and low-cost gift-giving. Santa's Attic features the best talents of area crafters as they showcase an array of original, hand-made items. 07 | 30th Annual Downtown Hampton Lighted Boat Parade

30th Annual Downtown Hampton Lighted Boat ParadeCruise into the spirit of the holiday season. More than 20 boats are expected to participate. This highly anticipated parade of illuminated power and sail boats will be visible from anywhere along the Hampton River, however spectators wanting to hear the narration will want to find a spot near the Hampton Maritime Center.

08 | Holiday Open House

Come out to the Holiday Open House! All of the family-friendly activities will be there—heirloom ornament making, train displays, face painting, live music, hot cider, and free museum admission. We’ll also have “Selfies With Santa” at the Hampton Carousel 1-6 pm, where children can share holiday wishes with Saint Nick. Enjoy a second face painting station, free candy canes, and rides for just $1 on a festively decorated 1920s carousel. These two events will make the perfect activity to get the family ready for the Holly Days Parade starting at 7 pm.

08 | Fort Monroe Mistletoe Homes Tour

Celebrate the season with a walking tour of four of Fort Monroe's most beautiful, historic home, decorated for the holidays. The Chamberlin and the Casemate Museum will also be hosting free open houses. Tours require some walking and will be rain or shine. Please be advised that these are private homes and not handicapped accessible. Advance tickets must be redeemed at Building #17I, 8 Ruckman Road, on the day of the event. 08 | Hampton Holly Days Parade

Hampton Holly Days Parade Experience the largest illuminated parade on the Peninsula at 7:00 p.m. in downtown Hampton. The 2017 Holly Days Parade will be held on Saturday, Dec. 9. This year's theme is "Holiday Lift Off" in celebration of NASA's 100th anniversary in Hampton. Hampton Holly Days Parade will feature over 70 units, including beautiful floats, marching bands including high school bands, auto clubs, dance groups, military honor units, and everyone’s favorite holiday guest…Santa Claus!

You won’t want to miss this fan-favorite program for the whole family!This December, join the Hampton Roads Philharmonic for a winter-themed classical program, with a pops-style twist.  Come hear how the coldest times have inspired some of the greatest composers.  Along the way, shake off some winter gloom with seasonal favorites such as The Skater's Waltz, Sleigh Ride, and a special guest narration of "A Visit from St. Nick."

31 | New Year's Eve Downtown Hampton Block Party

New Year's Eve Downtown Hampton Block PartyBlock Party is continuing its new tradition.
