27 | Hampton Arts League Open Members Exhibition 2018 - January 27 - March 11, 2018

This annual exhibition features artwork by many of the over 350 Hampton Arts League Members in all media, including drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, crafts, sculpture, and watercolor. Artworks in a wide range of styles, content, and sensibilities will be included. As an open exhibition, it will include established artists as well as young or emerging artists and students who are beginning their journeys as artists. Cash awards totaling $850, including $500 First Place, $250 Second Place, and $100 Third Place, five Awards of Merit and five Honorable Mentions will be selected by judge, Solomon Isekeije.  Isekeije received his B.A. in Fine Arts from Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria and M.F.A. in Visual Studies from ODU/NSU. He is an Associate Professor and Director of the Division of Fine Arts, and the M.A. / M.F.A Visual Studies Program, in the Department of Visual and Performing Arts at Norfolk State University.

Peppers Lonely Bluegrass Band is a collection of four very different musicians creating a new sound from the greatest music ever written by the greatest band ever… The Beatles. Expect some of your favorite classics reimagined with a totally new sound unlike anything you’ve ever heard before.
